Joseloff began his documentary career at ABC News in the late 70’s, was a staff producer at The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour from 1983 to 1995 and then became an independent producer.

While at MacNeil/Lehrer, he produced breaking news stories and longer, magazine pieces. Most of his work dealt with issues of the day (Middle East violence, failing farms, failing schools, etc.). But he also did feature pieces (a profile of humorist/author Calvin Trillin) and essays (Bruce Springsteen, bowling shirts, etc).

After MacNeil/Lehrer closed its New York office, he produced programs for PBS and cable television, including two dozen crime dramas for the award-winning series Forensic Files, and wrote educational films. His documentaries have aired on PBS, The History Channel, A&E, Discovery, CNBC and Court TV.

Four stories stand out: U.S. Marines in Beirut focused on a Marine unit stationed at the Beirut airport during the 1983 Lebanese civil war; "FRONTLINE: The Education of Michelle Rhee," an investigative report on Washington, DC's controversial school chancellor; “BIOGRAPHY: The Google Boys," an edgy analysis of the company’s history and technology and “NextWorld: Future Homes," a lively journey through the smart, green and wired homes of tomorrow.
